Sara Wallace, M.A., L.P.A.

Licensed Psychological Associate

Sara Wallace, M.A., LPA is a licensed psychological associate who specializes in the treatment of OCD, eating disorders, and related conditions using evidence-based approaches such as Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Family-Based Therapy (FBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). At River City OCD Clinic, she works with adolescents and adults to build practical skills, navigate difficult thoughts and emotions, and create more balanced, meaningful lives.

​Sara earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Western Kentucky University in 2017. She completed her graduate internship at a residential substance use treatment center in Tennessee and later worked as a primary therapist in a Women’s DBT program. Sara believes in providing compassionate, collaborative care and is committed to helping clients build meaningful, balanced lives using empirically supported treatments tailored to their individual needs.

  • Worked in all levels of care for mental health treatment including inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient

  • Lived in South Florida and has special experience working with the Native American population that area

  • Has a passion for Diet Coke and ice cream

  • Presented research projects from undergraduate and graduate school at the regional, state, and national levels

  • Regularly attends the Kentucky Psychological Association annual conference for continued education

  • Has a special interest in Broadway musicals and has seen Wicked almost 10 times

  • Experienced in treating substance use disorders and working in a MAT program

  • Extensively trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) through a Linehan Institute approved 6 month intensive training program

  • Regularly talks about her toddler Penelope 

  • Grew up in Western KY and attended Murray State University for undergraduate education

  • Collaborates regularly with other mental health professionals for referrals, continuation of client care, and partnerships on cases
